I don't know about other people, but for me the excitement of going on a trip is such an adrenaline rush. I love it.
I won't be going on a trip for a few months but the buzz in my stomach and in my head is just so amazing. Everything is ready (and paid for...so ouch already. lol), everyone is also ready and the only thing missing now is the day of departure! I have been having sleepless nights just on the excitement about this trip..and I love it!
Oh yeah, another thing. Just got home from a spontaneous trip to Tagaytay. My friend was like "hey, I want some ice cream". In 5min time we were on our way to Tagaytay. So yeah, we took a 2 hour trip to a very cold place to have Korean ice cream, a burger from burger machine and a couple of cigarettes. And we were still sober at that time...
Yeah, you're right. My most memorable trips are those that made me spend the most, hahaha. But I actually had more thrills spending on my own trip rather than joining some free media junket. If you spend on your own trip, you can go anywhere you want and spend as much time as you want in a place, unlike when you're there reviewing the place for a magazine or a newspaper. You have to be cautious of your "media ethics" and stay in a place based on the PR's itinerary.
Will be sheep-shearing and camping in Tagaytay this coming weekend. :)
