Romantic musings at the Country Suites iPosted: Fri/Feb/2010
I wrote this piece when I woke up this morning on a romantic mode contrary to what Mickael Douglas' Gordon Gekko in Wall Stret said that lunch is no longer for wimps, the advance of mobile communications and the rise of the dot.com fever have taught 24-7 workaholics that its ok to take a break. These days, going out of town is the way to go.
Long before everywhere else, there was always Tagaytay- a place whose images, smell, texture and taste have been etched in the consciousness of generations of Filipinos - we treasure romantic memories in a cool weather and inviting surroundings. This Valentines Day, one can enjoy a romantic respite from the grueling city life and experience again the cool climate that Discovery Coutry Suites Tagaytay has to offer. No less than Chef David Pardo de Ayala whipped up a loving menu with aphrodisiacs effects that he claims "may result in a second date or an engagement ring- perhaps? I couldn't say more after tasting the spread before me. All these dishes I felt could prompt couples to say what they'd like to say and hear from each other! Rest assured, I will truly come back with my lucky love to savor the meat steak cuts, garden fresh vegetables, and home made pastries that will always be reason for me to drive to Tagaytay City.
