This is SM City Baguio. The biggest mall in the city.
I never imagine to live here in Baguio for a long time. But becuase of studies, I prefer to take my college course here than in Manila. After a two year long of staying in here I am learning to appreciate what Baguio has to offer to its tourists and locals.
But seeing its changes from its foundation last 1909, Baguio grew a lot faster than you will ever know. Last year, they celebrated their centennial year (2009).
If you have a plan visiting the city, here are some tips I can share to you base on my experiences.
1. Never insult anyone, especially the Igorots. They are braver than to meet them in the eye. But they entertain guest and also friendly to them.
2. Be concious enough with your belongings. Be aware.
3. Having a trip? Visit the cityside. If you want to feel the real beauty of Baguio, then plan to visit the wonders outside the city proper. Like Tam-Awan Village at Pinsao Proper.
4. Walking along the city proper is a habit in the city. You will never feel that you walk a distance because most people walk than to take a ride. Excercise.
5. A lot of hotels, inns and accommodations are just waiting for guest in the city.
6. There are lot of adventures in the city. Don't just spend your vacation in the famous spots. Make time for dicovering some new things.
7. Always bring your umbrella. Often, every afternoon is a rainy season for the city. Remember, the city was known to be a lush rainforest before.
If you still have some questions, you can message me in my account. I am willing to help you plan for your next unforgettable vacation in the City of Pines.
Thanks for the helpful suggestions about Baguio City. Though I may have had a bad experience the last time I was there (I injured my foot), the sights, the restaurants and the good-natured folks more than compensated for what happened and provided me with memorable experiences.
